อุตรดิตถ์ เป็นรอยต่อของวัฒนธรรมระหว่างภาคกลาง ภาคอีสานและภาคเหนือ ผู้คนที่เข้ามาปักหลักตั้งถิ่นฐานของแต่ละชุมชนได้นำ เอาศิลปวัฒนธรรม ซึ่งเป็นภูมิปัญญาติดตัวมาด้วย รวมทั้งวัฒนธรรมของเครื่องนุ่งห่ม ซึ่งแตกต่างกันออกไปโดยเฉพาะความถนัดในการทอผ้า ของแต่ละชุมชน ลวดลายจะบ่งบอกถึงเอกลักษณ์ของชุมชนซึ่งในอดีตทอไว้สำหรับใช้ในครัวเรือนเท่านั้น

กลุ่มสตรีบ้านห้วยต้า ตำบลนางพญา อำเภอท่าปลา ทอผ้าไหม ผ้าฝ้าย และมีลวดลายต่างๆ อาทิ ลายพื้น ลายจก ลายน้ำไหล ลายประยุกต์ ฯลฯ และยังมีการทอผ้าซิ่นตีนจก ผ้ามัดหมี่และผ้าสีพื้นตามอำเภอต่าง ๆ อาทิ อำเภอลับแล อำเภอเมือง อำเภอตรอน อำเภอทองแสนขัน เป็นต้น

Uttaradit

The traditions of Uttaradit is a mix of those of the North, those of the Northeast, and those of the central part of Thailand. People from different parts have brought with them their own locality including clothing. Each clothing pattern tells where the wearer came from. In the past, people wove for household use.

The Ban Huai Ta Women's Association (at Nang Phaya Sub-district in Tha Pla District) weaves plain silk and cotton, but also produces fabric in several patterns, including Look-Kaew, Jok, not only Nam-Lai, and Pra-Yuk.

Tin-Jok "Pha-Sin", Mud-Mee and plain fabric can be found in Lab Lae, Mueang, Tron and Thong Saen Khan Districts.
