มรดกทางวัฒนธรรมโบราณของกาฬสินธุ์ คือ "ผ้าแพรวา" ซึ่งเป็นผ้าสไบไหมผืนยาว ทอลวดลายด้วยวิธีขิดจก ฝีมือละเอียดอ่อน ประณีต สีสันสวยงาม ที่บ้านกุดสิม - คุ้มเก่า ตำบลคุ้มเก่า อำเภอเขาวงทอผ้าแพรวา ลายดอกไม้ ลายรูปสัตว์ ลายเครื่องใช้ไม้สอยและลายจินตนาการ นอกจากนี้ ยังมีการทอผ้าไหมพื้นเรียบและผ้าไหมมัดหมี่ ซึ่งพบเห็นได้ในพื้นที่อำเภอเมือง อำเภอนามน อำเภอสหัสขันธ์ และกิ่งอำเภอสามชัย เป็นต้น

Kalasin

The weaving heritage of this province lies in the northeastern portion of the province. Kalasin's renowned handwork goes by the name Prae-Wa. This is a long piece of cloth, patterned skillfully by using the Khid and Jok weaving methods. Prae-Wa in flower, animal, goods and creative patterns was woven at Khao Wong District. Plain silk and Mud-Mee are also seen in Mueang, Na Mon, Sahatsakhan and Sam Chai Districts.
