Mud-Mee silk

บ้านหนองหอย ตำบลกุดชุมแสง อำเภอหนองบัวแดงทอผ้าไหมมัดหมี่ เช่น ลายโคมห้า ลายโคมเก้า ลายแมงมุม ลายด้วง ลายกนก ผ้าไหมพื้นเรียบ ผ้าลายเกล็ดเต่า เป็นต้น

นอก จากนี้ยังมีการทอผ้าตามอำเภอต่าง ๆ เช่น อำเภอเมือง ตำบลบ้านเล่า ตำบลนาเสียว ทอผ้าไหมพื้นเรียบ ผ้าไหมมัดหมี่ มัดหมี่ 2 ตะกอ ตำบลเขว้า อำเภอบ้านเขว้า ตำบลบ้านโสก และอำเภอคอนสวรรค์ มีผ้าไหมสอดโบ ผ้าไหม 2 ตะกอ ผ้าไหมมัดหมี่ ผ้าไหมพื้นเรียบ อำเภอเกษตรสมบูรณ์ ตำบลบ้านหัน มีผ้าขิด อำเภอภูเขียว ตำบลหนองตูม บ้านโนนเสลา บ้านแก้ว มีผ้าขิดและผ้าฝ้ายย้อมสีธรรมชาติ อำเภอหนองบัวระเหว อำเภอแก้งคร้อ มีผ้าไหมมัดหมี่ เป็นต้น ชัยภูมิจึงเป็นเมืองที่เลื่องลือชื่อผ้าไหมมัดหมี่ เช่นกัน

Chaiyaphum

Ban Nong Hoi of Gud Chum Sang Sub-district in Nong Bua Daeng District, people weave Mud-Mee silk in various patterns, including Khom-Ha, Khom-Kao, Mang-Mum, Duang, Kanok and Gled-Tao. They also weave plain silk.

Weaving is found in various areas of the province, in Mueang District there are two Sub-districts(Ban-Lao and Na-Siew) that produce plain silk as well as Mud-Mee, Mud-Mee-Song-Ta-Kraw. In Ban Kwao District (Kewa Sub-district) and in Khon Sawan District (Ban Sok Sub-district), silk in Sod-Boa, Song-Ta-Kor, and Mud-Mee patterns, as well as plain silk, can be found. At Ban Han Sub-district in Kaset Sombun District weavers produce Khid cloth; this cloth is also found in Phu Khiao District, Nong Tum Sub-district, and Ban Nonsela and Ban Kaew. These villages also produce silk dyed with natural dyes. Mud-Mee is woven in Nong Bua Ra Hew and Kaeng Khro Districts. Chaiyaphum is well-known for its Mud-Mee silk.
