ราษฎรจังหวัดอุดรธานีทอผ้าขิด ทั้งฝ้ายและไหม มีลวดลายพระราชทานที่ชาวบ้านเรียกลายขิด พระราชทานนี้ว่า "ขิดลายสมเด็จ" เป็นผ้าที่ทำชื่อเสียงให้จังหวัดเป็นอย่างมาก บ้านนาตาด-บ้านนาโปร่ง อำเภอ วังสามหมอ ทอผ้าไหมมัดหมี่ อาทิ ลายหมี่ข้อ ลายสร้างสรรค์ ผ้าขิดไหม อาทิ ลายโคม ลายหมากเบ็ง ลายนาคดอกจัน ลายดอกแก้ว นายนก ผ้าลายเกล็ดเต่า ผ้าไหมพื้นเรียบ

นอกจากนี้ ที่บ้านนาข่า ตำบลนาข่า อำเภอเมือง พบการทอผ้าฝ้ายสำเร็จรูป "ผ้าขิดแต่งไหม" และ พบการทอผ้าไหมที่อำเภอไชยวาน ตำบลโพนสูง ตำบลไชยวาน ตำบลหนองหลัก อำเภอหนองแสง ตำบลนาดี อำเภอกุมภวาปี ตำบลท่าลี่ เป็นต้น

    Udon Thani

The people of Udon Thani weave both cotton and silk Khid fabric. Her Majesty the Queen supplied some ideas for the designs so villagers named their first pattern on silk "Khid Somdej" and this has become the province's most famous silk pattern. Ban Na Tard and Ban Na Prong in Wang Sam Mor District, people weaves Mud-Mee silk in the Mee-Kor and Sang-San patterns and Khid silk in the Khom, Mark-Beng, Nak-Dok-Jan and Dok-Kaew, bird patterns. They also produced fabric in the Kred-Tao pattern and plain silk.

At Ban Na Kha (at Na Kha Sub-district in Mueang District), the weavers produce Khid cotton shirts and shirts decorated with silk. Silk is woven also in Chai Yawan District (in Phone Soong Sub-district), in Chai Ya Wan District (in Nong Lak Sub-district), in Nong Sang District (in Na Dee Sub-district) and in Khumphawapi District (Tha Li Sub-district).
